Police Have Arrested Seven Persons With A Plastic Pistol Over Hijacking A 23 Year Old Female
Kakirawa Police have arrested seven persons with a
plastic pistol in their possession over hijacking a 23 year old girl in Horivila,Habarana area.
Police have arrested the suspects after chasing the van carrying the hijacked girl as per an information received by them.The girl was hijacked at A-9 area in Halmillawa and the cause behind the incident has been revealed as a love affair.
The suspects were arrested while attempting to flee away after leave the van carrying the girl in horivila area Police have revealed.
The main suspect of the hijacking incident has been identified as an Army slodier attached to the Palali army camp and he is due to be produced before the Kakirawa Magistrate court today (08).

A Person Was Arrested With 20 Narcotic Tablets
Police have arrested a person with around 20 narcotic
tablets in Maradana area yesterday (07).
The narcotic tablets in possession of the suspect identified as "Ecstasy".
The suspect is a resident of Wattala area and due to be produced before Maligakande Magistrate Court today (08)according to the Police.

Sri Lankan Airlines To Expand It's Direct Flights To Three More Indian Cities
Sri Lankan Airlines has extended it's flights to three
more cities in india by making the number of Indian cities the Airline conducted it's direct flights to fourteen.
Accordingly Sri Lankan Airlines will be conducted it's new direct flights to viskhapatnam with effected from today (08),to the Hyderabad from 12th of July and to Coimbatore from 16th of July.
At present Sri Lankan Airlines conducting around 180 direct flights weekly to the Indian cities of Trichy, Chennai,Trivandram,New delhi,Mumbai, Madurai,
Gaya,Varnasi,Cochi,Kolkata and Bangalore.

Three Persons Fined Over Maintaining Dengue Mosqito Breeding Places
Moratuwa Magistrate has today (07)fined Rs.40,000
Rs.5000 each from three persons over maintaining Dengue Mosquito Breeding places in Moratuwa University premises.
The three persons fined are in charge of cleaning ,Laboratory and Contract divisions of the Moratuawa university according to the sources.
Moratuwa University had closed down a weak ago after a female student has died and almost 80 other students infected due to Dengue .

A Registered Foreign Employment Agency Owner Arrested Over Fraudulently Taking Money From Persons Promising Employment In Japan
The special investigations unit of the Foreign
Employment Bureau had arrested an owner of a registered Foreign employment agency in Kurunagala over fraudulently taking Rs.750,000 each from a group of persons promising employment in Japan according to sources.
No deal has been received by the Agency owned by the suspect to send Sri Lankans to japan for an employment it has been revealed during the investigations.
Meanwhile it has been also revealed that the Foreign Employment agency owned by the suspect did not send any Sri Lankan abroad for an employment since 2015.
