Twenty Three Pharmaceutical Companies To Sign Many Agreements With Health Ministry Over Manufacturing Western Drugs Here
Twenty Three Western Pharmaceutical Companies are due to sign 33 agreements with the Ministry Of Health in Colombo on 11th of July regarding manufacturing western drugs for Government Hospitals locally .

These Pharmaceutical Companies are due to build Pharmaceutical Manufacturing plants in Horana,Kalutara,Koggala and Kandy and some Companies have already begun building the Plants according to the Health Ministry.
Through these plants around 2000 employment opportunities will be created for the public the Ministry has stated.
Around Rs.45 billion spend annually for Importing drugs to Sri Lankan Hospitals could be saved by Manufacturing western drugs here the Ministry has said.

A Police Constable Was Remanded Over Accepting A Rs.30,000 Bribe
Colombo Chief Magistrate has today(06) remanded a Police Constable attached to the Colpetty Police over accepting a Rs.30,000 bribe from a Police Superintendent (SP)until tomorrow(07).
The Constable had taken the bribe from the Police Superintendent (SP) for not taking any legal action over a Complaint received by the Police Headquarters against the SP on taking a Rs.100,000 bribe from a Chinese Company it has been revealed.

A Motorcyclist Was Killed After His Motorcycle Colliding With A Train
A Motorcyclist was killed after his Motorcycle colliding with a Express Train "Sagaraika" traveling from Matara to Maradana in Chenamulla area ,Ambalangoda .
The deceased had been identified as a 43 year old Grama Seva Officer in Kahawa area.
At the time of the accident the railway crossing gate was opened and the gate keeper was not seen there it has been revealed.
