Two Persons Arrested With 135 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis
Navy personal along with narcotic bureau officials in
Mannar District have arrested two persons while transporting 135 kilo grammes of Kerala Cannabis by a Cab in Swamithottam area at Thalaimannar (Northern Province).
The two suspects along with the stock of Kerala Cannabis have been handed over to the Mannar police for future course of action.

More Than 100,000 Persons In Puttalam District Are Affected Due To A Severe Drought
Although several districts in the North and North
western provinces are being faced a drought these days due to the dry weather prevailing there,Puttalam District has been reported as the worst drought hit area as more than 100,000 persons in the district are currently affected due to the drought according to sources.
Out of the 16 provincial divisions in the Puttalam District around 14 are affected due to the drought it has been reported.The water resources including tube wells have been dried up and people in Puttalam have faced enormous difficulties when getting pure water to drink and to other requirements the authorities have stated.
The state minister of Irrigation and water resources management Range Bandara has instructed the authorities to provide relief including pure drinking water to the affected people in Puttalam and avoid spreading diseases among them due to the drought.

Police Have arrested Another University Student Leader Regarding Damaging Health Ministry Properties
Police have arrested another student leader the
former president of the students union of the University of Aesthatic Studies in Colombo regarding forcibly entering the Ministry Of Health building and damaged its properties , at Siyambalanduwa area today (25)while in hiding.
The suspect was hiding in a house at the time of his arrest.
He was charged over forcibly entering the Ministry building ,damaging its properties and obstruction to police duties and due to be produced before the Monaragala Magistrate Court tomorrow (26).
