Government Has Decided To Utilize Tri Forces Personal To Assist The Removal Of Collected Garbage Propetly-Health Minister

Government has decided to utilize the tri forces

personal to assist the proper removal of collected garbage in the roads of the country to avoid the spreading of current dengue epidemic further according to the Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

Earlier Minister has requested the President Maithripala Sirisena to take a decision to utilize tri forces personal to proper removal of garbage collected in the roads.

Since the collapsing of a part of the Meethotamulla Garbage Mount in last April ,the urban councils are not removing garbage collected in Municipal council areas properly, as there is no place to dump the collected garbage.

However to control the spreading of Dengue in the country the proper removal of garbage is must to do action at present Health Minister Dr.senaratne has sressed during a press briefing held at Government Information Department in Narahenpita today (17).

Colombo Chief Magistrate Has Dismissed A Motion Submitted Against The Arrest Warrant Issued To Dr.Bindusara

Colombo chief magistrate has yesterday (16) dismissed

a motion submitted by the Attorneys of accused former director of National Blood Transfusion Service Dr.Mangalika Bindusara against the arrest warrant issued against her.

An arrest warrant had issued against Dr.Bindusara last week over not appearing before the court to face a case filed against her by the bribery commission on incurred an economic loss to govetnment through importing expired blood plasma pherasis machines .

A New Secretary Has Been Appointed To The Health Ministry Replacing Previous Secretary Appointed 11 Days Ago

Sugathadasa has been appointed as the hew secretary to the Ministry of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine by the President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (16).

President had appointed udaya seneviratne as the new secretary to the Ministry Of Health on 06th of June,however he didnt assume his duties due to a dispute with the Minister.

Several Houses In Ampara District Damaged Due To Strong Winds And Showers

Several houses in mihindupura and udayapura at

Ampara District have been severely damaged due to the strong winds and heavy showers prevailed in those areas last evening (16) according to the reports.

Meanwhile the Meteorology Department has predicted that heavy showers will fall in Ratnapura,Galle,Matara ,Kalutara and Colombo today (17) and thunder showers will occur in Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening.
