A Youth Was Killed And Two Others Injured Due To A Road Accident In Buttala-Gonangaara Area
A youth was killed and two others have been injured and hospitalized after a small lorry they were travelling in veering off the road in 18th post at Buttala-Gonangaara area and crashed into a Electric post and a tree today(04) .
The three persons injured including the driver of the Lorry had been admitted to the Buttala Hospital for treatment and a youth among them had succumbed to his injuries after admission.
The deceased had been identified as a 25 year old resident in Ambalanthota area.
The accident has occurred after the driver of the Lorry which traveled from Gonangaara area to Akkaraipattu area had fallen a sleep while driving the Gonangaara Police have stated.

Public Have Been Advised To Be Vigilant Over The Weather Conditions As Landslide/Flood Threats Still There
The Disaster Management Center has requested the Public to be vigilant over the weather conditions in their areas as landslide and flood threats may have occurred again in different places of the country after the announcement made by Meteorology Department that heavy showers will prevails in many districts during next few days as well.
Public should have responded positively to the landslide and flood threat warnings issued by the authorities the Center has stated.\
It has been revealed that in some areas where landslide warnings have been issued by the National Building Research Organization ,residents are avoiding evacuation.

Around 22 Families Have Been Evacuated Due To Landslide Threat In Bulathsinghale
Around 22 families living around Thibbotuwakanda area in Bulathsinghale(Kalutara District) have been evacuated due to the landslide threat in Thibbotuwakanda .
As a landslide warning issued regarding the area authorities have evacuated the families as a precautionary measure and moved them to safe places it has been reported.
