After a week since the floods and landslides claimed the lives of many in few districts of the country, still a large number of people including poor to rich and some big companies are flocking around those who are collecting essential items to distribute among the displaced and generously contributing as they can.

This is the hearbeat of Sri Lankans.Unlike in other countries sri lankans are always there to help each other as they can when a tragedy occurred. They have proved this so many times and other nations too can take a good example from them on humanity.

Still dry rations to water bottles, biscuits, milk powder ,cloths, soap, tooth brushes, toothpaste ,sanitary pads, candles, match boxes and so many other essential items are being donated by our countdymen and women to the displaced.

Even the cleaning of houses and wells in places floods have receded is taking place with the help of others.A large number of free medical camps arranged in many affected areas.

Isn' t this  what we called as proud to be a Sri Lankan.
