Four Vehicles Damaged Due To The Collapse Of Vesak Pandal-Twenty Houses Have Been Damaged As A Result Of Heavy Showers And Winds

Around four vehicles have been damaged due to the collapse of Vesak Pandal built in Kiribathgoda City(Western Province)this evening(18) as a result of the heavy showers and strong winds prevailing in and around Colombo. 

No one was injured due to the incident it has been reported.

Meanwhile Due to the Heavy showers and strong winds prevailing in around 20 houses were damaged in Subuthipura,Battaramulle today(18).The roofs of some houses were severely damaged according to the reports.

In another instance Police have today removed Motor vehicles parked  near the Vesak Pandal built in Maharagama City as it has been revealed that there's a risk of collapsing the pandal.

Twelve Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Buliding Collapse In Wellawatte

Twelve persons injured and hospitalized due to a
collapsing of a five storied building under construction this morning (18) near Savoy Cinema hall,Wellawatte.

Eight of the injured were admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila and four were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment .

A group of persons still trapped inside the collapsed building it has been revealed .The rescue operations are currently underwsy  to save those according to sources  .

The cause for the collapse not yet been revealed .

Around 31 Grade Five Students Were Admitted To Hospital After Falling Sick

Around 31 grade five students attached to Bandaranaike Collage in Meerigama had fallen sick and hospitalized this morning (17) after developed an allergic condition with itching skin and rashes according to sources .

Out of the students hospitalized 10 we're admitted to the emergency treatment unit the sources have stated .

The exact cause for the illness not yet been identified .

Meerigama Public Health Inspector along with the Meerigama Police are conducting investigation on the incident .

Two Girls Who Fled Away From A Children's Home Arrested By The Police

Matale area yesterday(16) while hidin g in Matale town.

Police have arrested the two Girls after the matron of their Women and Children's Home made a complaint to the Police yesterday (16)stating that the girls  went missing.
