Matara High Court Sentenced A Sixteen Year Old Boy A Ten Year Rigourous Imprisonment
Matara High Court has today (08)sentenced a sixteen
year old teenager a ten year rigourous imprisonment over killing a three year old girl by hitting her with a club in 2008.
The suspected teenager had stated that he was guilty for killing of the girl after been produced before the Matara High Court today for the hearing of a case filed against him.
After considering the facts revealed during the case the Matara High court judge damith thotawatte had sentenced the accused teanager the rigourous imprisonment.

Sri Lanka Navy personal have arrested six persons
while harvesting sea cucumbers illegally in the sea coast near the point of pedro (Northern Province).
Navy personal have also taken into custody two dinghy boats,twenty oxygen bottles,two GPS Machines,a stock of equipment use for diving in possession of the suspects.
The suspects along with the equipment have been handed over to the fisheries office in point of pedro for further investigations.

Evidence Room Of The Puttalam District Court Had Been Broken
The evidence room of the Puttalam District Court
which maintains court documents belonging to the Puttalam District and Magistrate Courts had been broken by an unidentified individuals it has been revealed.
The robbers have entered the room by removing the roof tiles of the building and the things stolen from there have not yet been revealed.
Due to the ongoing investigations on the incident all outside persons are being banned from entering the court premises according to the authorities .

A 48 Year Old Person Was Drowned While Bathing In The Sea
A 48 year old person was drowned while bathing in the seas near Wennappuwa-Kadawatha area last evening(07).
The deceased had disappeared while bathing with his family members and his body was recovered this morning (08) in the beech it has been reported.
Wennappuwa Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.
