Transport Activities Between Matara To Kokmaduwa Exit Point On Southern Expressway Paralyzed Due To A Toppled Cement Bowser

Transport activities between
 matara to exit  point in  Southern Expressway  kokmaduwa have paralyzed for four hours today (08) due to a toppled   cement Bowser blocked the road .

Motorists were advised to use an alternative routes while  travelling during that period.

The closed road  has now cleared and opened for transport activities according to sources .

One Day Token Strike Launched By Government Doctors Ended This Morning

The one day token strike launched by the Government
Hospital doctors/Dental Doctors and Ayurveda Doctors  yesterday (07) morning against the Private Medical Collage(SAITM) in Malabe  ended at 8 a.m today (08).

Due to the strike out door clinics in Government Hospitals/Dental Hospital -Colombo and Dental Clinics/Ayurveda Hospitals in the country have paralyzed  and a large number of patients faced severe difficulties according to the Hospital sources.

Police Constable Who Robbed A Gold Chain Of A Female Had Been Remanded

The Police Constable arrested over robbing a gold
chain belongs to a female in Viharamahadevi park on last Wednesday night has been remanded until 20th of April by the Colombo chief magistrate court.

The suspect has been remanded after been  produced before the court.

The suspected Police Constable who robbed the gold chain worth more than Rs.80,000 was caught  by the civil defense force personal along with the female's husband and handed him over to the Cinamon Gardens Police.

Later it has been revealed that the suspect is attached to the Cinamon Gardens Police.

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe To Visit Japan

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe is scheduled to
visit Japan from 10th to 16th of April .

During the visit  Prime Minister Wikramasinghe will meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and government representatives and hold bi lateral discussions according to the Prime Minister's Office.

Government Is Consideting To Close All Liquor Shops In The Country Except In Hotels-Health Minister

Government is  considering  to close all the liquor
shops in the island and restricted the sales of liquor to hotels the Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indeginous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has said  in Parliament yesterday (07).

The matter  discussed in the Cabinet already  he has stressed.

Due to the heavy  consumption of liquor in Sri Lanks the non commumicable diseases spreads rapidly  and road accidents are on the incrase it has been reveaked.
