A 65 Year Old Maths Teacher Recieved A 20 Year Rigorous Imprisonment Over Raping A School Girl
Matara Magistrate Court has yesterday (04) sentenced a 20 year rigorous imprisonment to a 65 year old Tuition Master who had sexually abused a 16year old girl in the class room on 18th of March 2008 in Ellewala,Akurassa.The Court has also imposed a Rs.10,000 fine on the suspected Maths teacher who is a resident of Ellewala ,Akuressa area .

The injured a 36 year old male and a 32 year old female who were received minor injuries after a roof of their house damaged due to the winds had been admitted to the Kahatagasdigiliya Hospital.

Cabinet Approved A Proposal To Build A Tunnel Road From Bogambara-Gatambe To Thannekumbura In Kandy
To ease the traffic congestion prevails in front of the
sacred tooth relic temple "Dalada Maligawa" Cabinet has today (04)approved a proposal to build a tunnel road from Bogamabara -Gatambe to Thannekumbura area in Kandy according to the leader of the House Minister Lakshman Kiriella.
The closed road in front of the Dalada Maligawa will not be opened for any reason the Minister has stated.
