Immigration Emigration Officials Arrested Four Nigerian Nationals With Expired. Visas
Officers of the Intelligence and
investigating unit of the Immigration and Emigration department have arrested four Nigerian Nationals who are staying in Sri Lanka with expired visas in Mount Lavinia area today (29) .
The suspects have engaged in various businesses during their stay in Sri Lanka it has been revealed.
The Nigerian suspects are due to be sent to the Mirihana detention center and will be expelled them from the country afterwards .

Twenty Tea Estate Workers Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Wasp Attack In Hatton
Twenty estate workers were injured and hospitalized due to a wasp attack in a tea estate in Agarapathana,Hatton area this morning(29) while plucking tea leaves.
The injured including seventeen females were admitted to the Agarapatahana Provincial Hospital for treatment it has been reported.Nine of them were left the hospital by evening after receiving treatment.

A 20 Year Rigorous Impriosnment Was Sentenced To A Suspect Over Suicide Bomb Explosion In Colombo Fort Railway Station
Special High Court in Colombo has today(29) sentenced kanaksabhai devadasan alias Nadan a 20 year rigorous imprisonment over encouraging and assisting a LTTE Suicide bomber to carry out a suicide bomb explosion in Colombo Fort railway station on 03rd of February 2008 killing 12 persons.
High Court Judge Piyasena Ranasinghe has sentenced the suspect a 20 year rigorous imprisonment.
Due to the suicide bomb explosion in Colombo Fort Railway Station 12 persons including 08 base ball players in D.S Senanayake Collage in Colombo were killed and 92 others were injured.

MP Wimal Weerawansha Transferred To Colombo National Hospital

MP Weerawansha had begun a fasting campaign on 22nd of March by opposing the rejection of his revised bail application .
