Ministry Of Health To Launch An Island Wide Dengue Mosquito Control Week From Tomorrow
Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine
is due to launch an island wide National Dengue Mosquito Control Week from tomorrow (29) to next Tuesday (04 ) in view of controlling the spreading of Dengue menace in the society.
During this National Dengue Mosquito Control Week officials are targetting the places identified as high Dengue Mosquito Breeding places such as Construction sites,Institutions and Schools to implement Dengue Mosquito Control activities according to the Ministry.
The spreading of Dengue in the country is on the increase at present the Health Ministry has stated.

Galkiriyagama Police Allowed Two Arrested Students To Sit For The Term Examination Within The Police Station
Galkiriyagama Police ( North Central Province)had
taken steps to allow two students arrested over stealing a computer and chewing a narcotic type tobacco variety to sit for the school term test in a specially designed examination hall in the Galkiriyagama Police Station today (28).
The two students who were arrested yesterday (27) sat for the term examination under the supervision of a deputy principal of the collage where they are studying.

Heavy Traffic Reported From Town Hall Due To A Students Protest March
A heavy traffic had been reported from Town Hall and
surrounding areas this evening (28)due to a protest march organized by the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) by demanding solutions for several of their demands.
The protestors demanding solutions for demands related to university students including increasing the percentage of student admissions to the Universities and filling the student vaccancies created in university sector.
Around 1269 student vacccancies are there in state Universities for the Academic year 2015/2016 and government should make a plan and recruit the university students for univesities to fill the vacancies within next few weeks the convener of IUSF lahiru weerasekare has stated.

President Instructed The Provincial Council Chief Ministers To Be Prepared For Local Council Elections
President Maithripala Sirisena had yesterday(27) instructed the all Provincial Council Chief Ministers to be prepared to face the three Provincial Council elections and local government elections scheduled to be held this year.
