Police Task Force Personal Raided A Cattle Slaughter House And Arrested 06 Persons

Special Police Task Force personal attached to
 buththala camp have arrested 06 persons who were attached to a illegal cattle slaughter house in badalkumbura area  during a raid carried out there.

During the raid Police personal had taken into custody two cattle brought to the slaughter house to kill and few equipment use to kill the cattle .

The Police personal handed over the  suspects  to the badalkumbura police for further investigations .

Police Have Arrested 1246 Suspects Including Wanted Criminals During A Raid Last Night

Police have last night (11) arrested around 1246
suspects including registered criminals during an island wide raid carried out according to the Police Media Spokesman's office .

Around 567 suspects who were received court warrants to arrest ,110 registered criminals and 07 air force and navy ratings fled away from the forces were among those suspects arrested last night .

Police are currently inspecting finger prints of the arrested suspects it has been revealed.




A Dead Body Of A Wild Elephant Recovered From Mee Oya (River)

Wild life officers attached to the Galgamuwa Wild life
office had recovered a dead body of a Wild  elephant with gun shot injuries from Mee Oya(River) in Ambanpola area(Central Province) this afternoon (11).

The Wild elephant was around 13 years old according to the Wild life officers.


A 40 Year Old ,Australian National Had Fallen Down From.the Footboard Of A Train

A 40 year old Australian national had died after falling
down from a footboard of an Express train traveling from Colombo to Badulla at walakumbura,alawwa area this morning(11).

The body of the deceased has sent to the Polgahawela base  hospital for a post mortem.

Alawwa Police are conducting an investigation on the incident .

Fifteen High Ranked Police Officers Have Been Transferred

Fifteen high ranked police officers have been transferred with immediate
 effect as per the approval of National Police Commission.

Accordingly four Deputy Inspector Generals of Police(DIG), five Assistant Supwrindents Of Police (ASP's) and six  Senior Superintendents Of Police (SSP's) have been transferred according to the Police department.
