A Body Of A Person Who Committed Suicide Recovered In A Toilet Of Fort Railway Station

Police have recovered a body of a person who hanged himself in a
 Toilet near the  first platform of the Colombo Fort railway station yesterday (09).

The identity of the deceased not yet been revealed .Colombo Fort police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Two Houses Severely Damaged In Malvila Village ,Welikanda Due To Wild Elephant Attackes

Welikanda(Polonnaruwa District )area had been severely damaged due to a wild elephant attacks it has been revealed.

As the wild elephant threats are continuing around 25 families had already left their homes in the village Upto now it has been revealed.

Police Arrested A Female Carried 10 Grammes Of Cannabis To The Hulftsdorf Court

Police officers had today (09)arrested a female who carried 10 grammes of
 Cannabis to the Colombo Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court by folding it in a tobacco leaf .

After being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate the suspected female has been remanded until 27 th of this month .

Police had Arrested a female who attempted to carry cannabis to the court yesterday (08) as well.

A Female Was Killed And Four Others Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Three Wheeler Accident

A 57 year old female was killed and four others including two children
 were injured and hospitalized after a three wheeler they were travelling in veered off the A-9 road in Vavuniya-Omanthai area (North) early this morning (09).

The deceased had been identified as a resident of Pamankada,Colombo.

The three wheeler faced with an accident while on the way to Jaffna from Vavuniya .

Kayts Police Recovered Around 52 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis In Nagadeepa

Kayts Police have recovered around 52 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis believed to be smuggled from India though a boat and released to the sea , washed ashore to  Nagadeepa(North) this morning(09).

The recovered haul of Kerala Cannabis concealed in fertilizer bags according to the Police.

The value of the recovered haul of Kerala Cannabis estimated as over Rs.6 million .Kayts Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.
