Two Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler Accident In Wellawa

Two persons of the same family  were killed and another two rescued

 after the three wheeler they were travelling in washed away  in Wellawa area while crossing the bridge on
Daduru Oya .

A father and his daughter were killed due to the accident and other two in the Three Wheeler were rescued by  the residents of the area and Police  .

A 69 Year Old Ukranian National Drowned In Sea Area Of Kahandamodara,Hungama

A 69 year old Ukranian National has been drowned in the sea area of

 kahandamodara in  Hungama this afternoon(04) while bathing with his wife.

The body of the deceased who arrived in Sri Lanka on 28 th of February has sent to Hambanthota Hospital for the post mortem.

Hungama police are conducting an investigation on the incident .

Eighteen Persons Injured Due To A Road Accident In Trincomalee

Eighteen persons were injured and hospitalized after a small lorry they

were travelling in colliding with a paddy cutting machine transported by a tractor in Trincomalee area today(04).

The injured were admitted to the Trincomalee Hospital for treatment and three of the injured are being reported as in critical condition

The injured had been identified as residents of rajaela in Kanthale area and they have faced the incident while on the way to Trincomalee for an alms giving.

A Fire Erupted In A Textile Shop In Maharagama

A sudden fire had erupted in a Textile Shop in Maharagama town(Colombo)

 this afternoon (04) it has been reported.

Fire Brigade attached to the Maharagama Urban Council ,residents of the area and Police are currently attempting to douse the fire.

A Pakistani National Was Arrested With 5.5 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin In Possession

Police Narcotics Bureau Officials arrested a 25 year old Pakiatani

 National with 5.5 kilo grammes of Heroin in his possession at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport in wee hours of this morning (04).

The haul of heroin concealed in luggage of the suspect who arrived in Katunayake Airport through a flight from Doha,Qatar it has been reported.

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin arrested is more than RS.50 million according to the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The officials of the Police Narcotics Bureau had detained the suspected Pakistani National and currently questioning him over the incident.
