A Fire Erupted In A Textile Shop In Maharagama

A sudden fire had erupted in a Textile Shop in Maharagama town(Colombo)

 this afternoon (04) it has been reported.

Fire Brigade attached to the Maharagama Urban Council ,residents of the area and Police are currently attempting to douse the fire.

A Pakistani National Was Arrested With 5.5 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin In Possession

Police Narcotics Bureau Officials arrested a 25 year old Pakiatani

 National with 5.5 kilo grammes of Heroin in his possession at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport in wee hours of this morning (04).

The haul of heroin concealed in luggage of the suspect who arrived in Katunayake Airport through a flight from Doha,Qatar it has been reported.

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin arrested is more than RS.50 million according to the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The officials of the Police Narcotics Bureau had detained the suspected Pakistani National and currently questioning him over the incident.

Present students attached to a school in Panadura over attacking a students of two schools in Padukka and Panadura by storming into the schools today (03).

Police have also taken into the custody a lorry and a defender vehicle belonging to the suspects
