Two Persons Arrested With 23 Kilos And 926 Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis In Their Possession
Police have arrested two persons with 23 kilos and 926 grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession in Samanthurai area at Ampara District .
The suspects arrested as per an information received by the Police and they were remanded until 08th of March after being produced before the Samnathurai Court.

A Stock Of Facial Creams Belonging To Popular Brands Filled With Locally Made Creams Taken Into Custody
Officials attached to the Consumer Affairs Authority had taken into custody a stock of facial cream Containers filled with locally made creams and indicated them as belonging to seven popular imported brands ,stored in a storehouse in Wellampitiya (Western Province).The storehouse was sealed after the raid.
The value of the stock of facial creams taken into custody is estimated as Rs.15.7 million.The owners of the storehouse brought stock of original imported brands of facial cream containers to the storehouse and filled them with locally made creams before issuing to the local market it has been revealed.
The officials had taken into custody around 45,000 containers brought to filled the locally made creams priced as Rs.350 each.
The officials are due to take a legal action against those who are in charge of maintaining the storehouse .

Fifteen Peradeniya University Undergraduates Arrested Over Ragging Had Been Further Remanded
Fifteen University students attached to the Peradeniya University who were
arrested and remanded over ragging a group of first year students of the same University had been remanded until 16th of March after being produced before the Kandy Magistrate Court yesterday (02).
The suspects who are second year students attached to the faculty of Agriculture in the University Of Peradeniya were arrested during a search operation carried out on 20 th of February .
They were suspended by the University authorities after their arrest.
