Health Minister Ordered To Transfer All Doctors Attached To Welikada Prison Hospital

Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne had instructed the Deputy Director General Of Health Services (Grade -2) Dr.Amal Harsha De Silva to transfer all the Doctors attached to the Welikada Prison Hospital with immediate effect ,during a meeting of a heads of Health Institutions held at Ministry Of Health yesterday(27).

Minister had given the instructions after a Doctor attached to the Prison Hospital who are helping  corrupt politicians remanded over various corrupt activities to admit Prison Hospital by issuing fake medical reports to them ,refused to accept the  transfer order given to him by the Minister in an earlier occasion according to the Health Ministry.

Due to this situation Health Minister had instructed the Deputy Director General Of Health Services Dr.Amal Harsha to transfer all the Doctors attached to the Welikada Prison Hospital and appoint new team of Doctors to the Hospital with immediate effect.

Government Nurses To Launch A Protest Campaign In Front Of Health Ministry Tomorrow(01)

Government Hospital Nurses are due to launch a protest campaign in front of the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine at 12 noon tomorrow(01) demanding solutions for the six of their service demands according to All Ceylon Nurses Union.

The Nurses are launching the protest campaign  demanding solutions for six of their long standing service demands including solve their salary anomalies and pay arrears ,Paying the special allowance Health Minister promised to provide for Government Hospital Nurses and Grade Nurses for every five years according to the Union.

Sky Rocketed Prices Of Coconuts To Be Decreased Soon-Kobbakaduwa Agrarian Research And Training Institute

The escalating prices of the coconut in the market will be decreased before

 the forthcoming Sinhala /Hindu new year (April) according to the Hector Kobbakaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute in Colombo.

At present the prices of Coconut is between RS.55-70 in the local market

Due to the price escalation of Coconuts ,the price of the Coconut Oil too increased by Rs.250-280 per liter.
