Five Police Officers In Paliyagoda Police Had Been Arrested Over The Death Of A Suspect While In Custody
Five police officers including a sub inspector and four police constables attached to the paliyagoda
Police had been arrested this evening (26) by the paliyagoda special investigations unit officers regarding the sudden death of a 41 year old suspect who suddenly died while in Police Custody .
The suspect who was a resident of Ihala Bomiriya area in Malwana(Western Province) has died while in Police custody yesterday (25) .He was arrested while in his house by the four suspected police constables arrested over the death, yesterday .
Earlier in the day Inspector General Of Police Pujith Jayasundera has instructed the authorities to investigate on the incident .Accordingly a special police team headed by an Assistant Superintendent Of Police is conducting an investigation on the incident.

A Body Was Recovered From A Lower Part Of Bopath Falls
Police have recovered a body of a 36 year old person from a lower part of
the Bopath Ella(Falls) in kuruwita area today(26) .
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Batuhenawatte area ,Kuruwita.
The deceased had left home on 24th and his wife had lodged a complaint to the Police regarding his disappearence .
His body has been sent to Rathnapura Hospital for a post mortem.

A Person Was Killed ,Two Injured And One Missing Due To The Collapse Of Mount Of Earth In Laggala
A person was killed ,two persons were injured and another disappeared
due to a collapse of Mount of earth in an excavation quary attached to the Kalu Ganga (River) project in Laggala-Matale area (Central Province) today(26).
The two Injured workers rescued after the Mount of earth collapsed on them had been hospitalized for treatment.The Backo operator is dissappeared due to the incident according to the reports .
Laggala Police along with the residents of the area launched a search operation to rescue the dissappeared person and a helicopter with four groups of Army Commndoes too deployed in the search operation it has been reported.
