A Person Was Killed And Three Others Injured Due To A Three Wheeler Accident

A person was killed and another three
were injured and hospitalized after the three wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a mount of soil  on Ginigathhena -Ambathalawa main road in the wee hours of this morning.

The Injured were admitted to the Ginigathhena Hospital for treatment .

The deceased and the injured faced the accident on their way home after attending a funeral according to the Police.

The Accident occurred due to the three wheeler driver who was under the influence of liquor at the time of the accident .

Police Have Arrested A Youth Over Printing Fake Sri Lankan Currency Notes

Police have arrested a 20 year old youth
over printing fake Sri Lankan Currency notes with several fake Currency notes and the equipment used to print those in his possession in Maligathanne , Veyangoda area.

Police have taken into custody several fake RS.100,RS.1000 , RS.5000 and halfly printed  notes as well as the laptop and a printing machine used to print fake Currency notes in possession of the suspect.

Two Youths Were Killed Due To A Motor Cycle-Van Collision

Two youths were killed due to a Motor Cycle they were riding in collided
with a van on Polgolla-Katugasthota road last night (18).

The critically injured youth who were in the ages 21 and 23 had succumbed to their injuries on admission to the Kandy Teaching Hospital .

The deceased had been identified as residents of iththapana and kaluwana areas.

Katugasthota Police had arrested the van driver over the incident .

Ten Nigerian Nationals Arrested And Remanded Over Cheating More Than Twenty Million From Local Businessmen

(CID) officers  had arrested  ten Nigerian nationals who had  cheeted over RS.twenty  million from bank accounts belonging to the local businessmen .

The suspects who had  cheeted money from the  local businessmen after built friendships with them through the social media it has been revealed .

The suspects who were residing in Dehiwala ,Malabe and Mount Lavinia  areas arrived in Sri Lanka through tourist visas  for education and business purposes .

They were remanded until 02nd of March after being produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate Court.
