A Wayamba Campus Lecturer Has Assaulted Three Undegraduates Of The Same Campus

Three second  year undergraduates attached to the Wayamba Campus were   injured and hospitalized after been  assaulted by a Lecturer of the same Campus yesterday(07) .

The injured undergraduates were admitted to the Sandalankawa Hospital for treatment and later discharged from the hospital.

The reason behind the assault not yet been revealed.

Pannala Police are conducting an investigation  on the incident based on a complaint made by injured undergraduates it has been revealed. 

Monitory Board Of Central Bank Limit Certain Activities Of Perpetual Treasuries

The Monitory Board of the Sri Lanka's Central Bank has today(08) decided to limit certain activities of Perpetual Treasuries Company belonging to former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran 's son and the controversial primary dealer of the Central Bank's Bond Scam.

According to the current Central Bank Governor Indrajith Kumaraswamy ,two internal inquiries regarding the bond scam currently underway and the Inspector General Of Police(IGP) has been informed to conduct a Police investigation regarding the matter.

Over Rs.200,000 In Cash Missing From A Safe In Yal Devi Train

Over Rs.200,000 had gone missing from a safe in the
Yal Devi train travelling from Kankasanthurai to Colombo fort it has been reported.

The cash parcels got from Pothuhara, Muththettugala,Mahawa and Kurunagala areas had gone missing.

The railway authorities along with the police are currently investigating on the incident.


Medical Faculty Students Had Withdrawn From Lectures

Medical Students attached to eight medical faculties in
the country had withdrawn from lectures of their faculties with effect from yesterday(07) in protest against the Private Medical Collage in Malabe (SAITM) according to the Medical Faculties Students Committee.

According to the  Committee discussions are currently underway with Medical Faculty lecturers for them to join the protest.
