Disaster Management Center Requested The Public To Avoid Bathing In Badulu Oya

Disaster Management Center in Badulla District has
today (25) requested the public to refrain from bathing in Badulu Oya (River)  and the foot of waterfalls as the water level of the oya  increasing due to the heavy showers experiencing in Badulla District at present.

The District Disaster Management Center has also advised the motorists who are driving on the roads of Ella ,Welimada and Wellawaya areas to pay an extra attention as there's a great danger of experiencing earth slips and falling down of trees on the roads.


Police Have Arrested A Teacher Over Assaulting A Principal In Anuradhapura

Police have today ( 26) arrested a teacher of a school
in Anuradhapura-Hidogama area (North Central Province) over assaulting a principal of the same school.

The arrest was made after assaulted prinipal who is currenly receiving  treatment at a hospital made a complaint to the police regarding  the assault.

The teacher in question had assaulted the Principal regarding an official matter it hss been revealed.After being produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate Court today (25)the suspected teacher was released on bail.



A Youth Was Killed Due To A Motor Cycle-Train Collision

accident train motorcycle clipart க்கான பட முடிவுA youth was killed after a Motor Cycle he was traveling in colliding with a moving train at Kilinochchi area(Northern Province) this afternoon(25).

The Motor Cycle was collided with a train traveling from Jaffna to Colombo it has been revealed.

Kilinochchi Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Police Had Arrested Three Persons With Rs.500 Fake Currency Notes

Police have arrested three persons including a female with 506  fake currency notes of Rs.500 in Buttala(Uva Province) yesterday(24).

The suspects who are residents of Buttala Area were arrested while traveling from a truck.Police have also taken into custody a printing machine.special  papers used to print fake currency notes ,a computer and few other equipment in possession of the suspects.

Four Light Poles Were Damaged In Haputhale Due To A Mist

HEAVY MIST in haputale க்கான பட முடிவுFour light poles in Haputahale area were damaged due to a Lorry which collided with a tree fallen on the Haputhale-Welimada road crashed into a light post  nearby it has been reported.

As a result four light poles were damaged and electricity supply in the area cut off.

The accident may have occurred due to the heavy mist prevailing in the area at present it has been revealed.
