A Female Was Killed Due To A Road Accident In Hatton

A female was killed last evening after colliding with a moving Van at Shannon area in Hatton it has been reported.

The deceased has been identified as a resident in Hatton. Police have arrested the driver of the van regarding the accident.

Seven Female Garment Workers Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Accident In Hatton

Seven female garment workers were injured and hospitalized after the Bus they were traveling in met with an accident in Hatton area (Upcountry)this morning(25).

The injured were admitted to the Dickoya Base Hospital for treatment.The condition of the injured is not serious it has been reported.

The Bus which transported female garment workers from Hatton-Bagawanthalawa to Norwood area met with the accident after it allow space to another Buss to pass in it has been revealed.

All Unauthorized Establishments In Unakuruwa Sea Coast Had Been Removed

Coastal Conservation Department  officers with
assistance of the Police had removed all the unauthorized buildings and small trade stalls built in the sea coast of Unakuruwa in Tangalle (Southern Province)yesterday (24)amidst protests of it's owners .

Despite the protests Coatal conservation  officers had removed the unauthorized buildings and stalls in Unakuruwa sea coast by using backo machines it has been reported.

Although the authorities have earlier requested  the owners of the unauthorized buildings and stalls to remove them ,they have not responded to the request according to reports.A heated arguement occurred during the removal of unauthorized establishments between the trade stall ownersthe sourses have stated.
