One Was Killed And Three Others Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Road Accident
One person was killed and three others including a female were injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in veered off the road and colliding with a high power electricity pole on Negambo-Merigama road(Western Province) it has been reported.
The critically injured Three Wheeler driver and a female and two boys who were in the Three Wheeler admitted to the Negambo Base Hospital and the driver has succumbed to his injuries after transferred to Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.
Katana Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Health Minister Has Instructed The Authorities To Finalize The Report On Regulating Private Medical Institutions Within Next Two Months
Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has instructed
the authorities to finalized the final report on regulating Private Medical Institutions within next two months according to the Ministry of Health.
A special gazette notification is also due to issue by next week authorizing powers to the Senior assistant Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the special investigations Unit of the Health Ministry on raiding private medical institutions.

Airport Customs Officers Have Arrested A Sri Lanka Airforce Flight Lieutenant With Eight Foreign Liquor Bottles
Airport customs officers have arrested a Sri Lankan
Air Force flight lieutenant yesterday(17) over attempting to smuggle eight bottles of foreign liquor in to the country at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.
The Flight Lieutenant was arrested when he was on the verge of removing the bottles bypassing the customs.
The suspect was responsible for smuggling 40 foreign liquor bottles in to the country in five occasions previously according to the customs.Investigations have revealed that these foreign liquor bottles were handed over to the suspect by an Indian passengers to be taken out from the Airport.
The suspect was handed over to the Airport Police by the Customs Officers for further investigations.
