Sri Lanka Navy Arrested Ten Indian Fishermen While Illegally Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lanka Navy along with Sri Lanka Coastal Guards
had arrested ten Indian fishermen with two fishing trawlers while illegally fishing in Sri Lankan waters off North  west of delft island(Northern Province).

The arrested Indian Fishermen who are from Jegathapattinam and Pudukottai Districts and their fishing trawlers were handed over to the assistant director of fisheries in Jaffna for future course of action .

The arrests were made three days after Sri Lankan government agreed to release 51 Indian  who are already in it's custody.

Police Have Arrested A Person With Haul Of Kerala Cannabis

Police have arrested a person with 01 Kilo Grammes
and 525 grammes of Kerala Cannabis in his possession in Wellawatte (Colombo) today (05).

Accordingly Police Special Task Force Personal along with police officers attached to Wellawatte Police had been arrested the suspect while transporting the haul of  Kerala Cannabis through a Three Wheeler.

Suspect has been handed over to the Wellawatte Police Station for further investigations.

A 55 Year Old Person Was Killed After Colliding With A Train

A 55 year old person was killed after colliding with a
train near the Muththettugoda Railway station at Kurunagala (North Western Province) this afternoon(05).

According to eyewitnesses the deceased had  jumped on  the Rail Track when the train arrived.


A Sudden Fire Erupted In Castlereigh Forest Reserve

A sudden fire had erupted in Castlereigh Forest
Reserve (Upcountry)this evening and it's  spreading further at present according to sources.

Police believes a group of persons may have set fire in the forest.

CID Has Launched An Investigation On How Fourteen Doctors Attached To Apeksha Hospital Left Denmark At Once

Ctiminal Investigations Department (CID) had
launched an investigation on how a fourteen doctors attached to Maharagama Apeksha Hospital left Denmark at once to attend a seminar held there recently, as per a request of Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

CID Officials are due to check the bank accounts of the fourteen doctors of Apeksha Hospital who participated the controversial tour the Health  Ministry has stressed.

The Special Investigations Division of Ministry Of Health has also launched a seperate investigation on the incident and Ministry has also informed the Bribary Commission to investigate on the matter.

During the Health Institutions Heads meeting held at Health Ministry Auditorium today (05) Minister Dr.Senaratne has stated that there's a possibility that a certain drug company might be organized the Doctors tour to Denmark.
