A Pakistani National Was Arrested With 02 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin At Katunayake Airport

Police Narcotics Bureau officials along with Airport
Customs officers  have arrested a Pakistani National with  02 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.

The haul of Heroin arrested in possession of the Pakistani National is worth around Rs.2 bilion it has been reported.The suspect arrived at Katunayake Airport from Qatar.

Police Natcotics Bureau and Airport Customs are conducting an investigation on the incident.

A Father And His Small Son Hospitalized Due To Consuming Acid

A father and his small son were hospitalized after
consuming  acid it has been reported.

Accordingly the father who was a driver at Ingiriya hospitalized along with  his three year old son .The driver consumed the Acid with small child due to his wife left home the Police have stated.


Hatton Magistrate Has Remanded A Person Who Stolen Valuables From Sripada Pilgrims

Hatton District  Magistrate has remanded a person
who was arrested by the Nallathanniya Police over stealing valuables belonging to the Sripada pilgrims ,until 04th of January.

The  suspect who was a resident of Galle,Vanduramba area (Southern Province)had been arrested by the police  after stealing a mobile phone and a wallet belonging to a Sripada pilgrim from Badulla. 

A 80 Year Old Person Was Killed And Six Others Injured Due To A Road Accident

A 80 year old person was killed and six others
including two children were injured and hospitalized following the van they travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a tree at Batu Oya on Minneriya-Habarana road(North Central Province)today (01).

The injured were admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital for treatment.

The Van met with the accident while on the way to Batticaloa from Colombo it has been reported.
