Two Persons Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler-Motor Car Collision At Maharagama
A Three Wheeler Driver and a Passenger in a Three Wheeler were killed following a Three Wheeler-Motor Car collision occurred last night(26) near Dharmasoka Collage at Maharagama(In Colombo) according to the Police.
The critically injured Three Wheeler Driver and the Passenger were succumbed to their injuries after admission to South Colombo(Kalubowila) Teaching Hospital Police have stated.
The accicent has occurred when the Three Wheeler travelling from Maharagama to Kottawa area collided with a Motor Car travelling in the opposite direction from Kottawa to Maharagama after Three Wheeler Driver loosing control of the vehicle .

Two Former Higher Police Officers Were Further Remanded Over Thajudeen"s Murder
The former Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) Anura Senanayake and former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera who
were arrested and remanded over the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen had been further remanded until 06th of January by the Colombo Additional Magistrate.
The two suspects were further remanded after being produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate today (26).

A Fake Bomb Scare Delayed The Departure Of Colombo-Badulla Night Mail Train
The Colombo-Badulla night mail train scheduled to
leave at 8 p.m from Colombo Fort Railway Station today(26) has been delayed for two and half hours due to a fake bomb scare it has been reported.
After a phone call received to the number 119 of the Police emergancy unit stating that a parcel suspected to be a bomb is there in a compartment of the train ,passangers of the train were evacuated and train was thoroughly checked by the Police Special Task Force personal with the assistance of the Bomb Squad and Sniffer Dogs.
However no bomb or suspicious parcel has been recovered from the Train during the search according to the sources.
After the officials ensured the Train is safe to travel ,the Train left the Colombo Fort Railway Station at 10.30 p.m.
