Health Minister Suggested To Increase The Age Limit Of Children Admitted To Ridgway Children's Hospital To Sixteen

Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has suggested the Collage Of Pediatricians to increase the age limit of children admitted to Sri Lanka's premier children's hospital, Lady Ridgway Children's Hospital in Borella (Colombo) to 16 years according to the Ministry Of Health.
At present only children under the age of 14 years are being admitted to the Children's Hospital for treatment.

A Pharmacy Owner In Rawathawatte Has Been Further Remanded Over Selling Illegal Drugs Until 03rd Of January
Moratuwa(Colombo) Magistrate has today (20) further remanded the pharmacy owner at
Rawatawatte,Moratuwa who was remanded over issuing of illegal drugs and drugs without a doctor's prescription to patients ,until 03rd of January 2017.
A piscal court order has also issued as per the request of food and drug inspectors attached to Independant Drug Regulatory Authority to seal the suspect's pharmacy at Rawatawatte tomorrow (21).
The food and drug inspectors have arrested a large stock of psychotopic drugs including "Tramadol", physicians drug samples and expired drugs from the pharmacy during the raid caried out last Thursday.

Bribery Commission officials have arrested a technical
officer attached to Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha while accepting a Rs.25,000 from a Businessman as a bribe at the Payagala Pradeshiya Sabha sub office today (20).
The suspected technical officer has requested the bribe from a businessman to provide recommendations for the enviornmental protection licence essential for the timber mill and a hotel owned by the businessman it has been revealed.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Kaluthara Magistrate Court.
