A Laborer Was Killed And Anotner Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Fire In Nuwara Eliya
A laborer was killed and another person injured and
hospitalized due to a sudden fire erupted at a fourth floor of a Hotel which is under construction at Nuwara Eliya ( Central Province) according to the Police.
The injured was admitted to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital for treatment.
The sudden fire had erupted at the fourth floor which covered from a wooden cover of the nine floor Hotel Police have stated.The deceased had been ifentified as a resident of Ulapane area.
Police Officers attached to the Nuwara Eliya Police along with the fire brigade of Nuwara Eliya urban council and residents of the area have doused the fire.

hospitalized following a Private Bus-Lorry collision occurred at Ellepola in Balangoda area today (16),
Accordingly a Bus travelling from Badulle to Colombo had head to head collided with a Lorry transporting textiles to a garment factory and the crtically injured Lorry driver had succumbed to his injuries after admitted to the Balangoda Hospital ,Balangoda police have stated.
Nine injured Bus passengers had been admitted to the Balangoda Hospital for treatment.

A Large Stock Of Illegal Drugs Had Been Seized At A Pharmacy In Moratuwa
Food and Drug Inspectors attached to Independant
Drug Regulatory Authority had seized a large stock of illegal drugs from a Private Pharmacy in Rawathawatte,Moratuwa (Colombo) during a raid carried out yesterday (15) .
After producing before the court yesterday ,Moratuwa Magistrate had remanded the owner of the Pharmacy which sold illegal drugs to the patients until 20th of December.
During the raid Food and Drug Inspectors had seized a stock of illegal drugs including physcotopic Drugs (prescribed for physciatric illnesses
which can only issue to the patients under the prescription of a doctor including "Tramadol",Expired Drugs and pysicians drug samples banned for selling from the Private Pharmacy in Rawathawatte according to the chief Food and Drug Inspector attached to Drug Regulatory Authority Amith Perera.
The value of the stock of drugs seized has not yet been estimated he has stressed.

Welikada Police Have Arrested A Sub Inspector Attached To Homagama Police
Welikada Police have last night (14)arrested a sub
inspector attached to the Crimes Branch at Homagama (Colombo) Police in connection with assaulting a female in her house at Nawala,Rajagiriya.
Police have arrested the suspected sub inspector following an information received to 119 emergancy call line on Wednesday night stating the sub inspector who broke into a house at Nawala ,Rajagiriya ,assaulted the female whom he had an affair with earlier.
When police arrived in the house both the sub inspector and the female were there with bleeding and they were immediatly admitted to the hospital.
The sub inspector who was under the influence of liqour at the time of the arrest is due to produce before the Colombo Fort Magistrate tomorrow(16).
