Police Arrested Two Persons Along With 2000 Illicit Liquor Bottles At Marawila
Police Officers attached to Marawila Crimes Investigations Division had arrested two persons along with 2000 bottles of Illicit Liquor ,40 Barrels of Goda and equipment used to manufacture illicit liquor during a raid carried out at a Illicit Liquor Manufacturing Plant in Mawila,Marawila(North Western Province).The raid was carried out based on a tip off received by the Police.The suspects who are residents of Giriulla and Chilaw areas due to be produced before the Marawila Magistrate Court.
A Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Returned To Katunayake Airport After Leaving Chennai
A Plane belonging to Sri Lankan Airlines left Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this morning to Chennai,India had returned Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport due to the adverse weather condition prevailing in and around Chennai International Airport at present .The Sri Lankan flight UL-127 had returned Katunayake International Airport after leaving Chennai.
Meanwhile due to the adverse weather condition in Chennai ,an Emirates Flight left Chennai from Dubai had landed Katunayake Airport it has been reported.
A Businessman Was Shot And Killed At Meetiyagoda
A businessman who owns a fruit stall had been shot and killed today(12) by an unidentified gunman at Meetiyagoda (Southern Province)area.The businessman was dead at the time when admitted to the Batapola Base Hospital it has been reported.The body of the deceased who was a resident of Meetiyagaoda area remain at the Hospital for an autopsy according to the Meetiyagoda Police.
The cause behind the gun shooting has not yet been revealed.Police have launched a search operation to arrest the unidentified gunman who shot and killed the businessman.

Minor Floods Occurred On Colombo-Awissawella Road Following a Bursting Of A Pipeline
A minor flood situation has occured at hewagama on
Colombo-Awissawella main road yesterday (11) due to a bursting of a major pipline it has been reported
Due to the situation around ten houses and few shops in the area had drowned by two to three feets of water it has been reported.
The Major pipe line had bursted by two feets and
minor floods occured as a result of the incident soruces said.
