Train Services In Hunupitiya Rail Track Delayed Due To A Cement Mixer Truck -Train Collision

Train Services in Hunupitiya Rail Track had been

delayed for 45 minutes this morning as a result of  a cement mixer  truck colliding  with a express train travelling from Vavuniya to Matara at the station.

Due to the carelessness of the driver in cement mixer truck it entered the railway crossing although rail gate was closed at that time and  as a result  met with the accident police have stated.

As a result of the accident the express train has reached Colombo Fort railway atation 45 minutes later than the scheduled time.

Wild Life Officers Arrested Five Persons Over Killing Deers In Hambanthota

Wild Life officers  have today(27)arrested five persons

on suspicion of killing Deers at Hambanthota District(In Southern Province).

The five suspects were arrested over killing of  two Deers according to the Wild Life Officers.

Consumer Affairs Authority Has Sealed 33 Sacs Of Animal Feed Dhal Prepared To Issue For Humans At Wattale

Consumer Affairs Authority has today (27) sealed 33

sacs containing   20 kilo grammes  of Dhal each use to feed animals but prepared to issue for human consumption at a store in Wattale.

The Businessman who owned the store has a licence to purchase animal food but , he is reported as purchasing out dated stocks of dhal  which use to feed animals and issue them for human consumption.
