Singer Chilie Has Been Released On Bail
Singer Vidusha Thilanka alias "Chilie" who was arrested and remanded two over assaulting a Three Wheeler driver has been released on bail today(25) by the Kaduwela Magistrate.
He was released on a personal bail of Rs.500,000 and a cash bail of Rs.10,000 after been produced before Kaduwela Magistrate Court this morning.
The singer had reported as assaulted a 57 year old Three Wheeler driver two weeks ago at Palawatta,Battaramulla following an argument with him.After the assault the driver was admitted to the Thalangama Hospital with minor injuries and later he had lodged a complaint at Police over the incident .

Around 200,000 Stroke Patients Are There In Sri Lanka At Present-Dr.Padma Gunaratne
Around 200,000 Stroke Patients are there in Sri Lanka at present according to the Consultant Neuro Surgeon and the head of the Stroke Unit of the Colombo National Hospital Dr.Padma Gunaratne.
Majority of Sri Lanka's current disabled population of 3 million had become disabled due to the stroke she has stressed.
High Blood Pressure ,High Cholesterol,Diabetes,Smoking,Consuming Alcohol,Obesity,irregular heart beat,physical inactivity and unhealthy diet are identified as the main causes for getting a Stroke and the main symptoms of the disease are 1)Facial Drooping-a section of the face usually only on one side that is drooping and hard to move.This can be recognized by a crooked smile.2) Arm Weekness- The inability to raise one'arm fully, 3)Speech Difficulties- An inability or difficulty to unferstand or produce speech Dr.Gunaratne has stated.
"If any of the above symptoms are showing time is of the essense,call the emergancy services or go to the hospital "she has urged while addressing a media seminar held on "Stroke" at the Health Education Bureau yesterday (24) morning.
Consuming of Alcohol is one of the major risk factors caused the Stroke and according to a latest study it has been revealed that a person who consumes more than two glasses of liquor per day may increase stroke risk by 50% Dr.Gunaratne has revealed.

Supreme Court Has Postponed The Hearing Of The Fundemental Rights Petition Filed By Former Chief JMO Until February Next Year
The Supreme Court has yesterday (24) decided to postponed the hearing of the fundamental rights petition filed by former Chief Judicial Medical Officer in Colombo Dr.Ananda samarasekera requesting the court to prevent arresting him regarding the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen until 08th of February2017.
The court has decided to postpone the hearing of this case until the verdict is given in a revised bail application filed by Dr.Samarasekera at Colombo High court which is being heard.
