Customs Officers Have Arrested Two Youth With 400 Cartons Of Cigarettes At Katunayake Air Port
Air Port Customs Officers have today (11)arrested two youth with 400 Cigarette Cartons worth around Rs.4 million in their possession at the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Air Port.
The suspects who were arrived in Katunayake Air Port from Abudhabi concealed 400 cartons of Cigarettes belonging to six varieties made in Turkey and Germany inside their luggage according to the Customs Officers.
The arrested stock of Cigarette Cartons have been confiscated and Customs Officers are questioning the suspects at present it has been reported.

Second And Third Year Faculties Of University Of Uva-Wellassa Have Closed Due To A Water Shortage
Authorities of the University of Uva-Wellassa had today (11) decided to close all the second and third year faculties of the University with immediatte effect for a one week period due to the severe water shortage prevails in the area at present.
As a result of the current drought students attached to the Uva-Wellassa University have faced a severe shortage water it has been reported.
However the first and fourth year faculties of the University remain opened the University Authorities have announced.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Fined Cricketer Ramith Rambukwella Over A Car Crash
The Colombo Additional Magistrate Court has today (11) imposed a Rs.29,000 fine on the son of former Minister Keheliya Ramukwella and a Cricketer Ramith Rambukwella on charges of involved in a Road Accident under the influence of liquor.
The fine was imposed when the suspect had appeared before the Colombo Additional Magistrate Court this evening.
Ramith Rambukwella was earlier arrested and remanded by the Police on 22nd of September following his car crashed into a wall at independance square in Colombo-07.However he was later released on police bail.
