Two Police Constables Were Killed Due To An Accident Occurred In Katana
Two police constables had been killed following the Motor Bicycle they were in collided with a Lorry near the Police Academy in Katana(In Western Province) area this morning.
The Two constables had succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to Negambo Hospital in critical condition it has been reported.The deceased were identified as a 27 and 46 year old policemen attached to Katana Police.
Katana Police had arrested the Lorry Driver regarding the accident.

Body Of The Assassinated Sunday Leader Editor Had Exhumed
The body of the assassinated former Editor of Sunday Leader Newspaper Lasantha Wikramathunge is being exhumed this morning from his burial site at Borella Cemetery for a fresh autopsy.
The Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court has ordered the authorities to exhume the body of late Editor as per the request made by Criminal Investigations Department(CID) due to the certain contradictions existed between the Autopsy Report of Late Sunday Leader Editor.
Late Lasantha Wikramathunge had been assassinated while he was on his way to work in January 2009.

National Mosquito Control Week Has Been Declared From Today (27))
A national mosquito control week has been declared from today (27) up to 03rd of October in view of destroying mosquito breeding sites in the country and to make awareness among the public on Dengue,Chikungunya and Zika diseases spread by the mosquito "Aedes Egypti" according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indeginous Medicine.
The mosquito control activities will be carried out during the week in 346 MOH areas which defined as Dengue high risk,risk and low risk zones the Ministry has stated.
