The Son Of The Imprisoned Joint Opposition MP Had Been Arrested Over Driving Under Liquor Influence

Kanishka Aluthgamage the son of the imprisoned Joint Opposition MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage had been arrested by the Kirulapona(Colombo) Police last night over driving a vehicle under the influence of Liquor.


However he was  released on Police Bail today (25) it has been reported.

The suspect has been informed to be appear before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court tomorrow (26) the Police have stated.

Nine Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Van- Van Collission At Badulla

Nine persons including six females  were injured and hospitalized today(24) following the van they were travelling in had collided with another van near the Badulla Police station on Badulla-Bandarawela main road .

The injured were admitted to the Badulla Hospital and their condition is reported as stable.

The accident hss occurred as a result of the driver of a van arrived in  from Hambanthota has falling a sleep it has been reported.

A Navy Sailor Attached To The Trincomalee Navy Camp Had Committed Suicide

A 36 year old  Navy Sailor had committed suicide by shot himself from a fire arm inside the Sri Lanka Navy Camp in Trincomalee it has been reported today (24).

The Navy Sailor who is a resident in kandy had shot himself from his official fire arm according to the sources.The cause behind the suicide not yet been revealed.

The Trincomalee Harbour Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Navy Have Taken Into Custody 77.5 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis At Pudukurippu Area

Sri Lanka Navy Personal have taken into custody 77.5 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis while transporting them  in a Three Wheeler at Ambalampokkane in Pudukurippu area (Northern Province) it has been reported.

The suspects who were transported the haul of Cannabis had fled away by leaving the stock when Navy Personal approached it .

The haul of Cannabis taken into custody by the Navy had been handed over to the Mulathivu Police for future course of action.
