President Maithripala Sirisena Is Due To Address The UN General Assembly In A Few Hours Time
President Maithripala Sirisena who is participating the on going 71st United Nations General Assembly meating in New York,USA is due to address the Assembly early morning tomorrow (22)Sri Lankan Time according to the reports.
This is the second time that President Sirisena is addressing the UN General Assembly after assuming office as the Sri Lankan President last year.
President along with the MP's and Media Delegation arrived in New York on last Monday .
President has attended the Bill,Hilery and Chelsea Clinton Charity Foundation Meeting held yesterday as an invitee and held bi lateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Indian Minister of State for External Affairs M.J.Akbar.

An Individual Was Killed After A Private Bus Run Over Him At Pettah
An individual was killed at Pettah in Colombo this morning after a Private Bus run over him while crossing the road near Tractor Corporation Junction it has been reported.
The victim who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in critical condition had succumbed to his injuries on admission according to the sources.The identitity of the deceased not yet been revealed the sources have stated.

CID Has Informed The Court That Former Colombo JMO Transported The Missing Body Parts Of Former Rugby Player To Private Medical Collage
The missing body parts of the former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen who was reported as murdered had been taken to the Private Medical Collage(SATIM) in Malabe(Colombo District) by the former Judicial Medical Officer in Colombo and current Vice Chancellor of the Collage Dr.Ananda Samarasekera the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has today(21) informed the Cololmbo Additional Magistrate.
Accordingly CID has informed the Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris when the murder case on Thajudeen was taken up for haering this morning that Under the instructions of Dr.Samarasekera the workers of the Colombo JMO(Judicial Medical Officer) Office had transported the missing body parts of Thajudeen from fifteen bags to the SATIM.
The Colombo Magistrate Court has earlier rejected the anticipatory bail application filed by Dr.Samarasekera seeking his release on bail.

An Increase Of 10,584 Dengue Pathients This Year Than In Last Year
There's an increase of 10,584 Dengue Patients during eight and half months in this year(January to Mid September) when compared to last year(2015) according to the Epidemiology Unit attached to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.
Accordingly a total number of 40,361 Dengue Patients has been reported from island wide this year and there are 65 Dengue Deaths the Ministry has stated.However only 29,777 Dengue Patients had been reported during the last year(2015) .
Out of the total number of Dengue Patients reported from this year 6674 patients had been reported from Colombo District it has been reported.
