President Had Left For New York To Attend UN General Assembly

President Maithripala Sirisena accompanied by twenty member Sri Lankan delegation had left for New York this morning to attend the 71st General Assembly of the United Nations due to be held from 19th to 26th of September.

President is due to address the UN General Assembly on 21st of September (Wednesday).

Around 3300 Broiler Chicks Had Been Burnt To Death Due To A Fire In Galnawa Area

Around 3300 broiler chicks had been burnt to death due to a sudden fire erupted at a poultry farm at Galnawa Area(North Central Province) according to a complaint received by the Galnawa Police.

The dead chicks were just seven days old the complainant has stated.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister To Visit New Zealand In Early October

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe is due to leave New Zealand for an official tour from 01st to 03rd of October the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has announced.

This is the first time that the Prime Minister Wikramasinghe is visiting New Zealand after assumed his duties as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

He will accompany his wife Professor Maithree Wikramasinghe ,four Sri Lankan Ministers and a Sri Lankan business and media delegation for the tour it has been reported.

President Maithripala Sirisena is due to fly United States Of America (USA) today (18) with a Sri Lankan delegation to attend 71st United Nations General Assembly scheduled to be held from 19th (Monday)to 26th of September .

President Sirisena is due to address the UN General Assembly on 21st of September it has been reported.

After elected as president in  Sri Lanka this is the second time he is attending the UN General Assembly.
