Attorney General Indicted The Former Minister Thissa Attanayake

Attorney General has yesterday (09)indicted the former Minister Of Health Thissa Attanayake in Colombo High Court for allegedly preparing fraudulent documents.

The former minister who is also the former UNP General Secretary as well had been accused for prepared a letter forging the signatures of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe during the previous regime.

Four Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Road Accident At Welimada

Four Persons were injured and hospitalized as the Tri Shaw they were travelling in collided with a Navy Bus at yalpathwela in Welimada area(Upcountry) today (09).

The injured were admitted to the Welimada Base Hospital for treatment.

The Three Wheeler was travelling from Matale to Kataragame ,while Navy Bus was on the way from Diyathalawa to Nuwara Eliya at the time of the accident it has been revealed. The accident has occurred as the driver of the Three Wheeler lost  control of the vehicle Police have stated.

Police Narcotics Bureau Officials Arrested An Indian National With 1.4 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin At Katunayake Air Port

The police narcotics bureau officials attached to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport  had bern arrested an Indian National midnight yesterday (08) with a haul of Heroin worth atound Rs.10 million in his possession.

During the search of the 31 year old suspect's luggage the police narcotics bureau officials have recovered 1.4 kilo grammes of Heroin concealed in the waist band of several trousers stored in his luggage.

One Of The Accused Of Former MP Bharata Lakshman's Assassination Has Been Transferred To Bogambara Prison

One of the accused who was sentenced to death in connection with shooting and murder of Former United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandre and three others,Dematagoda Chaminda had been transferred to Bogambara Prison in Kandy from Welikada Prison -Colombo this morning .

He was transferred to the Bogambara Prison amidst tight security from a prison bus due to a threat to his life at Welikada Prison, officials have stated.

Police Special Task Force and Police had been provided security for the prison bus carrying the accused.
