Sri Lankan Government Has Signed A New Tripartite Agreement With CHEC Port City Colombo Private Limited By Replacing Previous Agreement

Sri Lankan government has yesterday (12) signed a tripartite  agreement with the CHEC Port City Colombo Private Limited,the project company of the china funded port city project in Colombo to name Colombo as international Financial City replacing the former
Colombo port city.

By signing the agreement CHEC port city Colombo Private Limited has issued a written letter to Sri Lankan government by stating the company will withdraw all compansation claims from the government for suspending the project to study the enviornmental Impact of the project.

The new trpartite agreement will replace the previous agreement signed between the previous government and CHEC port city  Colombo Private Limited on 16th of September 2016.

The Ministry of Mega Police and Urban Development
and Urbsn Development Authority have signed the agreement behalf of the government.

Navy Have Detained Four Persons With 4.5 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis

Image result for cannabisSri Lanka Navy have today (12)detained three persons in two separate locations while selling narcotic Kerala Cannabis and taken into  custody 4.5 kilo grammes of the narcotic according to the navy sources.

Accordingly a person with 3,5 kilo grammes of Kerala Cannabis has been detained in Nawagaththegama area and another two persons were detained with 1 kilo gramme of Kerala Cannabis at seemaweli in puttalam area it has been reported.

The detained suspects and the stock of Kerala Cannabis were produced to the Anamaduwa and Puttalam police stations for future course of action.

Visiting Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg Met President Maithripala Sirisena

The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg who arrived in Sri Lanka on 04th of August  for a private tour had met President Maithripala Sirisena today (12) and held bi lateral  talks at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

During the talks both leaders have agreed to increase corporation in several sectors between the two countries  including information technology ,energy,hydro and solar power and fisheries

President Sirisena had welcomed the Norwegian Prime Minister during a reception held before the talks.

Visiting Norwegian premier is also due to hold talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and Opposition Leader R.Sambandhan.
