Chaminda Vaas Has Been Appointed As The New Fast Bowling Coach Of Sri Lankan Cricket Team
Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed the former Sri Lankan fast bowler Chaminda Vaas as the new fast bowling coach of Sri Lanka Cricket Team with effect from 01st of September .
Vaas had been appointed as fast bowling coach of the national team earlier too but later he has resigned from the post and undertaken the coaching post of Ireland's cricket team.
Meanwhile Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed Nick Pothas as the new fielding coach of the national team it has been reported.

Government To Purchase New FIghter Jets For Air Force
The Cabinet has approved the proposal made by President Maithripala Sirisena to purchase 8 to 12 Fighter Jets such as MIG for the Sri Lanka Air Force according to Minister Of Health and co Cabinet Spokesman Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.
Prrsident has made this proposal to the cabinet in his capacity as Defense Minister Dr.Senaratne has stated.
The government has taken a decision regarding purchasing of fighter jets as the fighter jets available in Sri Lanka Air Force are out of date and need to be modified he has stressed.
These fighter jets will be useful to maintain the oceanic security and it's being prepared for any unexpected threat to the country.

Former LTTE Media Spokesman Daya Master Has Been Remanded
The vavuniya High Court has today (10)remanded the former media spokesman of the LTTE Daya Master (velayutham dayanidhi) until tomorrow (11) due to his failure to produce four persons to sign his bail application .
Daya master was summoned by the vavuniya court earlier regarding the observation he made before the Colombo Magistrate regarding the final stage of the war between LTTE and Sri Lankan Armed Forces.
After he was detained regarding the accusations the court has released him on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and four personal bails.

Kaduwela Magistrate Court Has Allowed The Government To Invest CNN Channel's Money In Central Bank
The Kaduwela Magistrate Court has today (10)given permission to the government to invest Rs.157.5 million currently invested in Carlton Sports Network(CSN) Channel at Central Bank the Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine and Co Cabinet Spokesman Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated .
