Government Is Spending More For The Sri Lanka' s Health Sector Than Private Sectror
According to a latest survey carried out by the Ministry of Health ,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine it has been revealed that the government is spending more for the Health Sector than the Private Sector.
It was earlier predicted that the private sector in the country spend more money for the Health Sector than government according to the Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.Even in western countries like USA private sector spends more for the Health Sector he has revealed.
Although during the previous regime it has estimated that 1.7 % of the gross domestic product has been allocated for the health sector , according to the above mentioned survey 3.2% from the gross domestic product has been allocated for the health sector Minister has stressed.
These details were revealed during a survey carried out to prepare the National Health Account Report .

Former DIG And Crimes OIC Were Further Remanded Over The Killing Of Former Rugby Player Thajudeen
The Colombo Additional Magistrate has yesterday (03) further remanded the former senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) Anura Senanayake and former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera who are in remand over the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen until 10th of August.
The suspects were further remanded by the Additional Magistrate when the murder case of Thajudeen was taken up for hearing yesterday afternoon.
Both suspects were taken into custody after recording their statements over the killing of former Rugby Player Thajudeen who was killed in May 2012.

Navy Have Detained 19 Local Fishermen Who Were Engaged In Illegal Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters
Sri Lanka Navy Have Detained 19 local fishermen who were engaged in Illegal Fishing on Sri Lanka's seas off Kokkuthuduwai in Northern Province by using banned mono filament fishing nets.
Along with the local fishermen the Navy have taken into custody four fiber glass dinghies(boats)and three mono filament fishing nets.
The Navy have handed over the detained local fishermen and their equipment to Mulathivu fisheries inspector for future investigations on the incident.
