Prime Minister Along With The Sri Lankan Delegation Arrived In Indonesia For A Official Visit

The Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe along with Sri Lankan Delegation had arrived in Indonesian Capital Jakartha this evening to attend the 12th International Islamic Economic Summit.

The Indonesian Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita had  welcomed the Sri Lankan delegation who arrived in for a two day visit at the Jakartha Air Port.

Prime Minister Wikramasinghe has been invited to  attend  the International Islamic Economic Summit by the organizers and this is the first time that a Sri Lankan leader was invited to attend the summit.

Detained Captain Of The "Avant Guarde"Ship Was Further Remanded Until 08th Of August

The captain of the controversial "Avant Guarde"Ship Gennady Gavrilov who was detained by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) regarding the ongoing investigation on the ship on illegally importing fire arms to sri lanka and illegally possessing fire arms and explosives has been further remanded until 08th of August by the Galle Magistrate Court today (01).

The suspect was produced before the Galle Magistrate Court today.

The CID was detained the Avant Guarde Captain on 23rd of June.

Ministry Of Health Has Introduced A Color Code System To Indicate Sugar Levels Of The Soft Drink Bottles

The use of a color code system to indicate sugar levels containing in Soft Drinks that available in the market has come into effect from today(01) according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.

The Gazette Notification regarding the implementation of the color code system has been issued under the signature of Health Minister Dr,Rajitha Seneratne the Ministry has stated.

According to the color code system "Red" color should be used to indicate if the contained sugar level is more than 11 grammes,"Amber" color should be used to indicate the sugar level 2 grammes to 11 grammes and"Green"color to indicate the sugar level less than 2 grammes.

The Health Ministry has instructed the Public Health Officers to check whether the traders are selling the soft drink bottles with the color code or not and to take stern action against those who are not implement it.

The Ministry has informed the soft drink manufacturers and the National Chamber of Commerce on the color code system it has been reported.
