Colombo Fort Magistrate Has Turned Down The Request Made By FCID To Issue An Arrest Warrant Against Udayanga Werathunge
The Colombo Fort Magistrate has turned down the request made by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) to issue an arrest warrent against former Sri Lanksn Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weerathunge.
The FCID has requested the Colombo Fort Magistrate To issue an arrest warrant through an Interbational Police against Werathunge who is charged for his alleged involvement in a controversial Mig Air Bus deal occurred in 2006 .
The FCID has requested the court to issue an arrest warrant against the suspect as he is currently not in the country to hand over a notice.

Prime Minister Wikramasinghe Has Discussed On How To Improve Sri Lanka's Administrative Service With Singaporean Officials
Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe along with other Sri Lankan Officials who are currently in Singapore on an official visit have met the higher officers of the Civil Sevices Collage In Singapore today (19) and discussed how to uplift the Adminstrative Service in Sri Lanka according to reports.
During the discussions Prime Minister Wikramasinghe has stressed the need to receive the asssistance of Civil Services Collage in Singapore to make radical changes in Sri Lanka's Administrative Service in view of carrying it to the highest level.
Prime Minister and Civil Services Collage Officials have also discussed on the ways of expanding the training programmes currently underway between Sri Lanka's Development Administrative Institute and Civil Services Collage it has been reported.

Two Youth Have Been Drowned While Bathing In Kelaniya River
Two youth a boy and a girl have been drowned while bathing in the Kelaniya River at Hanwella (in Colombo District) last evening according to the Hanwella police.
The two youth in the ages of 16 and 19 have been identified as residents in Hanwella Area.
Hanwella Police have launched a joint search operation along with the residents of the area to find the two drowned youth.

Three Suspects Including Two Females Were Detained At Katunayake Airport While Attempting To Smuggle Foreign Currencies
The Airport Customs Officers have detained three persons including two females at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port this morning for attempting to smuggle foreign currancy worth over Rs.166 million out of the country.
All three suspects were preparing to board Dubai bound Qatar Air Ways flight with foreign currencies including Euros,Saudi Riyals,Kuwaiti Dinars and Omani Riyals in their possession around 3.25 a.m this morning when the arrest was made according to customs officers.
During the inspection the customs officers have found the foreign currencies concealed in bottom of two bags in one of the female's luggage according to reports.
