A Heavy Traffic Reported Around Colombo Fort Railway Station Due To A Protest March Of University Students
A heavy traffic has been reported for several hours from Colombo Fort railway station and along the Olcott Mawatha(Road) due to a protest march organized by University Students.
The Inter University Students Federation(IUSF) has organized this protest march by demanding the immediate release of it's convener Lahiru Weerasekera who was remanded until 15th of July for violation of a court order.

Around 14 Foreign And Local Tourists Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Wasp Attack In Sigiriya
Around 14 persons including 08 Chinese Nationals and 06 Sri Lankans have been injured and hospitalized today(13) after Wasps attacked them whilst entrance to the historical Sigiriya Rock.
The injured were admitted to Sigiriya and Dambulla Hospitals for treatment and their condition is reported as not serious according to sources.
A female and three children were among those hospitalized due to the Wasp Attack the sources have stated.

Colombo Magistrate Court Has Refused To Issue An Interim Order Against A Film
The colombo magistrate has today (12) turned down the request made by Narahenpita Police to issue an interim court order to ban the screening of the film " "Adaraneya Kathawak"( Love Story) directed by priyantha kolombage.
Narahenpita Police have requested the court through a report to issue an interim order to ban the screening of the film as it contains ten smoking and two liqor consumption scenes.
Under the Tobacco and And Alcohol Authority showing such scenes is a punishable offence the
Narahempita Police have stated through a report submitted to the court.
However by refusing to issue such order the colombo additional magistrate has stated that the duty of the court is to uplifting the cinema creations and not have power to issue an interim order against Cinema.
