Yoshitha Rajapakshe the second son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe has today(16)
released on three personal bails by Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court over a property and house
case filed against him.
He was released on three personal bails of Rs.3 million each after being produced before Mount Levi nia Magistrate.

Panadura Police Detained Thirteen Bangaldeshi Nationals For Staying Sri Lanka Illegally
The Criminal Investigations Unit of Panadura Police have detained Ten Bangladeshi Nationals for staying Sri Lanka illegally without valid visas.
Along with these Bangaldeshi Nationals Three other persons who had supported them too taken into custody by the Police it has been reported.
The the thirteen detained persons are due to be produced before Panadura Magistrate Court.

Government Has Decided To Reduce The VAT Increased On Private Health Sector-Taxes On Cigarettes,Liquor And Palm Oil Increased-Minister Amunugama
The government has decided to reduce the value added tax (VAT) imposed on private health sector recently and increase the taxed imposed on Cigarettes,Liquor and Palm Oil for the benefit of general public the Minister of Special Assignments Dr,Sarath Amunugama has stated.
The Cabinet Committee On Economic Affairs has taken a decision on this and the decision is due to be submitted to Cabinet next week the Minister has stated.
