Death Toll Due To Floods And Landslides Risen To 92
The death toll due to floods and landslides in the island has risen to 92 by this morning according to Disaster Management Center(DMC).
Around 109 persons still missing due to the floods and landslides occurred in the island during recent week the DMC has stated.The total number of displaced persons reported so far due to the floods is 237,240.
The troops who are engaged in rescue efforts at the landslide sites in kegalle district have recovered another eight bodies the DMC has further stated.

Three Sri Lankan Females Were Detained At Katunayake Air Port With Gold Slabs And Jewelry Weighing Over 10KG
Sri Lanka Customs Narcotic Control Officers have today(23) detained three Sri Lankan females who arrived from Dubai at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port with gold slabs and Jewelry weighing over 10 Kilo Grammes in their possession .
The total value of the detained stock of gold slabs and jewelry estimated as Rs.60 million.
The Customs Central Investigations Directorate is conducting further investigations over the incident.

Singapore To Provide US Dollars 100,000 To Sri Lanka As Flood Relief Aid
Singapore has decided to provide US Dollars 100,000 relief aid to Sri Lanka for the benefit of a large number of people in Sri Lanka who affected from the floods and landslides.
The donation is due to be provided to Sri Lanka through Sri Lanka Red Cross.
The Singaporean Government has also sent condolences to Sri Lanka government and people over the loss of innocent lives due to the floods and landslides occurred in the country during past few days .
