Disaster Management Center Issued A Warning To The Public In Imbulpe And Balangoda On Natural Disasters

The Disaster Management Center  has issued a warning to the public in Imbulpe and Balangoda(In Ratnapura District) Divisional Secretariats on possible Landslides and Cut Slope Failures if the prevailing heavy showers further continue.

The Department has also warned public to be more careful on lightening threats as heavy rains expected in most areas in the island during evenings.

According to the Meteorologists the rainy weather currently prevailing in is expected to grow further due to a low level atmospheric disturbances in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.

A Committee Had Appointed To Probe The Death Of Late Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero

Image result for court orderA Four Member Committee had appointed today(11) on the directive of Colombo Chief Magistrate to investigate the cause of late venerable maduluwawe sobitha thero's death .

The committee is chaired by the director of Colombo National Hospital Dr.Anil Jasinghe and Dr.Ajith Thennakoon,Dr.Nimalee Fernando ,Dr.Iresh Wijemanna and Dr.Kumudunee Ranathunge are other members of the committee.

Two Police Constables Detained Over A Rape Case Have Been Further Remanded until 24th of May

The two police constables  detained over a female rape case at Kaththankudi(In Eastern Province) were further remanded until 24th of May by Batticloe Magistrate yesterday(10).

The two police constables  attached to Batticloe and Dehiwala Police Stations were detained last week on the charge of taking a female to a house in Kaththankudi from a three wheeler and rape her.

The suspects were further remanded after being produced before Batticloe Magistrate Court,
