World Theravadi Buddhist Sangha Council To Meet In Colombo Today(09)

The World Theravadi Buddhist Sangha Council is due to meet today(09) in Colombo.

"The Unity Of Buddhism" is the main theme of this years meeting it has been reported.The Policy Statement compiled by the World Theravadi Buddhist Sangha Council is due to be launched during the meeting.

The Buddhist Leaders representing ten countries including Sri Lanka,India,Bangaldesh and Myanmar are due to participate this meeting.

A Business Delegation From Czech Republic Arrived In Sri Lanka

A Business Delegation with representatives of Major Companies in Czech Republic arrived in Sri Lanka to explore trade and investment opportunities here according to the Government Information Department.

The Business Delegation led by Ambassador Milan Hovorka comprising with representatives of the major Czech Companies like Eldis ,Fans,Skoda Doosan Power ,Techno Export and Viktovice Power Engineering the Department has stated.

These Companies covered the areas of Radar Systems,Heavy Mechinary,,Steal Cylinders ,Air Traffic Control,Vehicle and Steam Turbines,Nuclear Power Systems,Cooling Towers,Food ,Power Generation and Crude Oil Processing it has been reported.

Public Health Inspectors Issued A Warning To Public To Be On Alert On Some Imported Fish Varieties In The Market

The Public Health Inspectors have issued a warning to the public to be on alert on some  fish varieties  imported from China which are  not suitable for human consumption and  selling these days   mainly  in Negambo and Chilaw Areas.

These imported fish varieties which are being sold for  lower prices have contaminated  with a higher amount of  Lead the Public Health Inspectors Association has stated.
