A Group Of 21 Indian Fishermen arrested By Sri Lanka Navy At Sri Lankan Seas

Image result for detain clip artSri Lanka Navy with the assistance of Sri Lanka Coast Guard Officers have yesterday(27) detained 21 Indian Fishermen who were illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters at  South West of Thalaimannar(In Northern Province) .

 The three fishing boats which  the  Indian fishermen  were travelling in have also taken into the custody  according to reports.

After being produced before the Mannar Magistrate Court the group  of  21 detained Indian Fishermen have been remanded   until 11th of May .

Police Have Used Tear Gas To Disperse A Protest March Conducted By University Students In Colombo

The riot police have used tear gas to disperse a protest march conducted by a group of University Students at Colombo Fort this evening against the Private Medical Collage in Malabe.

Due to the Protest March of University Students a heavy traffic has been reported in and around Colombo Fort area it has been reported.

Heavy Traffic Has Been Reported At Baseline Road Due To A Sudden Fire Erupted In A Car

The cause for the fire has not yet known and there are no immediate details available on the casualties it has been reported.

The Two UN  envoys ,special UN envoy on Independent Judiciary Monica Pinto and special envoy on violence Huan E Mendes are due to arrive in Sri Lanka according to an invitation made to them by Sri Lankan Government.

During their visit the two special UN envoys are due to meet top government officials and activists in various sectors and hold talks with them.
