Highest Ever Electricity Demand In Sri Lankan History Has Been Recorded On 25th Of April-Minister Of Power And Renewable Energy
The highest ever electricity demand recorded on a single day in Sri Lankan History has been reported on 25th of April(Monday) according to Minister Of Power and Renewable Energy Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.
Accordingly local electricity consumers have used nearly 2452.9 Mega Watt of electricity on that day Minister Siyambalapitiya has stated.
Due to the hot weather condition prevailing in the island at present, local electricity consumers had excessively used fans and air conditioners on that day the Minister has revealed.

Mannar Fraud Control Unit Had Recovered A Stock Of Indian Made Narcotic From A Forestry Area
The Police Officers attached to Fraud Control Unit in Mannar have today(27) recovered a stock of Indian made Narcotic "Hans" from a forestry area in J.R.S Village at Thalaimannar.(Northern Province) according to the Police Media Office.
During the raid the Police Officers have recovered a stock of "Hans" narcotic weighing 26 Kilo Grammes and 400 Grammes .
No arrests have been made regarding the Incident and the Police have decided to inform the situation to Mannar Magistrate Court .

Norway To Invest In Sri Lanka's Fishing Industry
The Norwegian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Thorbjorn Gaustadsaether has today(27) stated that Norway will allow it's investors to invest in Sri Lanka's Fishing Industry .
Norwegian Government has made this decision after the European Union has decided to lift the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka according to the Norwegian Ambassador .
He has revealed this decision when he met with Sri Lankan Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Ministry Of Finance in Colombo today(27).
